At Bay Press and C4 present an Exclusive Event on Saturday, October 29th at the RBC Convention Centre 

Join us for panel discussions, autograph sessions and a FREE book giveaway (while quantities last).

The At Bay Press Special Edition #1 is an official C4 Convention exclusive, limited to just 500 hand-numbered copies.  This digest format book features literary and graphic stories by talented writers and artists such as Scott A. Ford, Anders Homenick, Van Kunder, M. C. Joudrey,  Michael Joyal, Lucy Haché, John Crust and Matthew Stevens.

This is the first C4 event of its kind, geared towards readers and collectors alike. Don't miss out!

-Van Kunder: Writer/editor from Winnipeg. She has published work exploring dance, music, theatre, and culture. As the art director of SANDBOX magazine, she was one of four individuals who brought the world of fashion, culture, and lifestyle to print in the Canadian prairies. She has received her diploma in Creative Communications from Red River College in Winnipeg. Her work can be seen at vanessakunderman.com

-John Crust: Writer and former teacher in Poland for a number of years, John is the founding editor of "Dekadentzya", an international literary journal based at the University of Lodz, Poland.

-M. C. Joudrey: Canadian writer, artist and designer. His second novel Of Violence and Clichéwas released September 2013, followed by his collection of short stories Charleswood Road: Stories in August 2014, which was nominated for a 2015 Manitoba Book Award. M.C. Joudrey has also been a member of the submission selection committee for the CBC Short Fiction Prize and a jury member for the Manitoba Book Awards. His titles reside in permanent legislative and national government collections. He is also a bookbinder and a number of his works are held in galleries internationally. -Michael Joyal: Winnipeg based artist. He recently spent one year drawing a single piece of art for each day, culminating in the show "365 Days Before I Sleep" at Cre8ery Gallery. He has also produced the comic zines "CrUDE" and "Disturb". Mr. Joyal received his BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. His work can been seen atleadvitamins.blogspot.com

-Anders Homenick: Winnipeg based photographer. His photographs reflect his approach to life, love, and friendship. He is always searching for new experiences, people and their lifestyles, at home and abroad, to capture behind his lens. His methods include using vintage cameras and shooting on film. His work can be seen at friendshipfilms.ca

-Matthew Stevens: Winnipeg based freelance graphic designer. He graduated from Red River College Advanced Graphic Design Program. He spends most weekends during the summer enjoying lake life with his friends and family. He would never turn down a good Cuban cigar.

-William Self: Toronto based photographer/writer with a keen interest in history, Canadiana, the arts, and plaid flannel shirts. His work is frequently on display within the various cafes on Toronto's Queen Street East coffee house circuit. Mr. Self received his diploma in Television and Multimedia Production from Seneca College. His work can be seen attheuppercanadian.ca

-Scott A. Ford: Artist, designer, and storyteller from Winnipeg. He received his BFA (Honours) from University of Manitoba. His work is primarily composed of comics, illustration, graphic design, and typography. He has written, illustrated, and published the first two issues of his comic series, Romulus + Remus, which was nominated for the 2012 Manitoba Book Awards: Best Illustrated Book of the Year. His upcoming new illustration and comic projects including a full-length sci-fi/fantasy graphic novel, Ark Land. His work can be seen at scottaford.wordpress.com

-Alana Brooker: (B.A., LL.B) Managing Editor, At Bay Press. Ms. Brooker has overseen various collections and anthologies, including award winning works such as Woman: An Anthology, featuring work by Stephen King and Alice Munro as well as the award nominated short story collection, Charleswood Road: Stories, by M. C. Joudrey. She currently oversees all acquisitions for At Bay Press.
